I have used a multitude of technologies over the course of the year. I have created a mindmap listing all of the technologies I have used. I have separated them into which stage of the course I used them in:

I have completed a 40-slide presentation detailing why and how I have used these specific technologies, including photographs and examples of my use of these technologies.

The Importance of Endings Most films have a beginning, middle and end. Beginnings set things up and hook the audience, so, justifiably, people stress the importance of them. Endings are often overlooked when talking about the importance of structure, however, a bad ending never fails to ruin an entire film for the viewer. Weak beginnings can be forgiven if the rest of the film is strong, however, a weak ending makes the film fall flat. Endings are what the audience walk away from thinking about - it's the last note the film leaves for them. In What Ways Does Your Short Film Use, Develop or Challenge Forms and Conventions of Existing Media Products? Forms, codes and conventions are important to consider and understand when constructing a film, particularly an amateur one. Firstly, there is a reason as to why they are conventional in the first place: they confer a sense of familiarity on the audience. This familiarity is important to help the audience understand something. They can work as short-cuts; by employing something the audience already understands it allows you to build on them to create your own original work. For example, take genre conventions. If you're creating a sci-fi film, you will likely include settings and props etc. that are easily identifiable to the sci-fi genre, such as space or aliens etc. This immediately allows the audience to identify the film as a sci-fi film, therefore, they're almost immediately familiar with the landscape on which your film is set (eg. alien or far away). What is Target Audience?  Target audience is the intended viewer of the film that's going to be released - it's a particular group of consumers that the product will be aimed at, probably because they will get the most enjoyment out of it than anyone else. There are certain factors that define the target audience for each individual film, for example, the genre of a film may affect the target audience for a film as certain groups of people will be drawn to a specific genre typically. For example, a teen film's target audience is probably going to be directed at teenagers due to the general themes and characters that teenagers can relate to. Another thing that may draw a specific target audience to a film is the actual individual content of the film. Although the genre may somewhat define the conventions and content - the nature of the content may vary depending on the film.
